COLLECTORS’ SALE SILENT AUCTION INFORMATION
Bidding closes: Friday September 26 at 5pm HST. **All registrants will be notified by text or email one hour before bidding closes**
Step 1: Register
Register HERE for the silent auction online with your name, email and telephone.
Step 2: Bid
Provide maximum bid amount. Your bids are listed anonymously.
Current bid will be updated daily HERE at 5 p.m. HST until September 22, 2023.
Step 3: View
Art work is available for viewing in person at DAC during bidding window. Current silent auction bid amount is on view by registration number only, in-person at DAC.
SILENT AUCTION FAQs
What works in the Collector’s Art Sale & Exhibition Fundraiser are part of the silent auction?
Of more than 500 art works by over 150 artists available for sale, only three art works are
featured exclusively as part of the silent auction. One is a sculpture by the contemporary artist
Satoru Abe and the other is ink on paper by Oahu artist Yvonne Cheng.
Where can I see these works in-person?
In addition to viewing these works in person at DAC Honolulu through September 26 at 5:00 pm
HST, please visit our website to see the art works online with detail and installation views, as
well as more information about the artist and provenance.
When does the bidding close?
Bidding started on September 4, 2025 at 5:00 PM HST and closes on September 26, 2025 at 5
pm HST. Bidders will be notified one-hour before bidding window closes to make any updates.
How do I check my current bid status?
Bidders are assigned a registration number following successful silent auction registration.
Current bids are listed anonymously in-person at DAC by registration number. Contact Allison
Wong, Project Curator, submissions@downtownarthi.org or check the Silent Auction bidder
sheets in person at Downtown Art Center during open hours Tuesday – Sunday 11:00 a.m. –
5:00 p.m.
What if my maximum bid does not meet a bidding increment?
The minimum bid increment must be met. It can be higher but not lower.
What if I want to update my bid during the bidding period?
You are welcome to submit multiple bids using the same form and same name. Each bid is
submitted with a timestamp and the current bid will reflect the highest maximum bid amount
received with the earliest submission. So you are encouraged to place your bid sooner rather
than later!
How do I know if I won?
All bidders will be notified of bid status by text or email at the close of the auction on September
26, 2025. Successful bidders will be contacted by phone to arrange payment and delivery.
Successful bidders may pay by check or credit card. Payment by credit card will incur an
additional 3.2% handling fee, to be charged to the buyer. Complimentary local storage at DAC
will be provided if confirmed prior to September 26, 2025. Work must be picked up by
September 30, 2025.
