ABOUT THE SHOW

"Dis and Dat: A Mixed Plate of Stories Collected Over 30 Years"

Join veteran actor Dann Seki for a session that's a little of everything — stories of how things came to be, stories of growing up in Hawaii, stories from Japan, Rakugo stories (don't worry, you'll learn what they are), and stories with life lessons.

ABOUT DANN SEKI

Dann has appeared on the stages of most of the theatres in Honolulu and received a Po'okela award for his performance in MVT's Allegiance. His TV and film credits include many productions filmed in Hawaii including Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., I Know What You Did Last Summer, Magnum, P.I., The Landline Detective, Hawaii Five-0, Special Delivery, and Savage Beach. Developing as a storyteller since 1994, he has performed at various venues on Oahu and the Neighbor Islands.

A graduate of Aiea High School, Dann has degrees in Audiology and Health Services Administration from the University of Hawaii. He is retired from the United States Army with 37 years of service. He was also on the air at KUMU-FM for 15 years. He is a member of SAG-AFTRA and is on the Board of Kumu Kahua Theatre.
